It has recently come to my attention that I have been labelled as unreliable by a couple of perspective clients. To start with I would like to apologies to anyone I have failed to reply to. I always strive to give the best service possible with my work but unfortunately sometimes the admin side of things can be very hard to juggle along side my general duties as a decorator.
I primarily work aloneโฆthat means I do all of the driving around from jobs to pricing up, I set up all the jobs, I do all the price ups I do all the quotes . Sometimes it is almost impossible to get back to every missed call and message which is sometimes an unbelievable amount of calls. More often than not at the moment customers are looking to get work done in a matter of weeks, unfortunately for these perspective customers I am always booked up for 2-3 months at a time so more often than not I sometimes have to just strike a line under some jobs and pass them up. While I know I should always get back in touch with people it all come down to time I start my day at 7am and finish work no later than 5pm and then that is the time I have to go and visit price ups then finally home time to be with the family. Then once the children are in bed itโs back to work on the admin side of things looking over prices and messaging people back. It all comes down to time for us all and unfortunately there is not enough of it, while I understand the inconvenience it is if I donโt reply back I would like people to try and understand that I also have to suffer this same inconvenience when I do take the time to reply to perspective customers and donโt receive any kind of replies. I even have to deal with customers who accept a price and dates only for them to accept another price and sometimes they donโt even let me know. I have even been to price up jobs that have already been taken but with no word from anyone to tell until until itโs too late and I have already dedicated part of my time to this price up. So basically I would like to end this with an apology to anyone I may have let down with prices but to also please understand I am just one person trying his best to just earn an honest living and providing an excellent service. So please people be kind and understanding as we all should be.
And to all my repeat customers who come back time and again and are always passing in my name and number itโs always very much appreciated.
