It was so nice gardening today! Felt a lot like summer, can’t wait for the last frost to be over with, work shorts have re-emerged along with the grape hyacinths. 😎

Since I’m online, here’s an update on the fence removal and hedge planting that I carried out along Cam Pitch in February. The Photinia look like they are very happy in this spot and the colour is coming through really nicely. Looking forward to watching this bloom over the next few years.

Laid out some membrane and shingle in the previously emptied bed, removal of a large number of Crocosmia crocosmiflora and removal of moss from the patio along with a general garden tidy up to finish up the week with a lovely email follow up from my customer. Always brings a smile to your face to receive some positive feedback. 💚

This mornings work: trimming and tidying of a large hazel and rose hedge and full removal of river grape vines from conservatory rear wall. Nearly finished with the recovery work on this property to move onto routine care, it’s been a great project to have worked on brining these lovely gardens back up to standard. 💚

A half day to finish up the working week early. Finished pulling up the remaining bushes, trimming the hedges down to a more manageable level, training the remaining pyracantha to grow closer to the fence and pruning the trees to allow extra space in the garden. A decision is still to be made as to the surface and whether the lawn wants reseeding or replacing. The new digging fork is holding up strong 💪🏻 . Now a day and a half to study and improve knowledge further before the weekend. 💚

All in a days work, a fork has been retired today as it snapped trying to pull Cotoneaster horizontalis (rockspray cotoneaster) and Pyracantha roots out of the ground. I’d say it’s high time for a cuppa ☕️ have a nice evening all. 💚
