How it started… and how it’s going on day 1!

Lots of hard graft going into this space, clearing out all of the unwanted greenery and getting ready to lay a brand new patio with pergola, then creating a low maintenance surrounding area with stone chippings and raised beds around the outside. This is going to be a really nice useable and functional space once it’s finished. 😊

Transforming this area of my clients garden into a low maintenance, membrane and stone chippings with some lovely plants.

As time goes on people want different things from their garden and this lady approached me with an idea to help her reduce the maintenance needed (a lot less weeding), we managed to deliver this easily with the right plan and now this area will be a lot less trouble! 😊

A job completed this week, a lovely new box hedge planted in to add aesthetic value to the front of this house and protect the grassed area. The result will be a close knitting together of the box hedge over time whilst losing minimal depth on the grass and not overtaking the path.

This was an absolute pleasure to do, a lovely person to work for and the customer was so thrilled he left a lovely review on my page unprompted. 😊

This job I did recently was an extension of an older patio and path, plus levelling and adding a slight camber to the lawn leading up to the new patio, topsoil down and grass seeded, we discussed at length how best to get the patio to integrate with the current patio and feel seamless with the grass, this resulted in a much more usable space without feeling like a giant slab in the middle of their lawn. Now there is plenty of room for new garden furniture and new pots have since been purchased to go around the patio as my client loves their flowers!

This was a really exciting project as i've been doing general maintenance for them for a couple of years now and it was a real privilege to combine functionality and form. Update pictures to follow once the grass has grown in and the decoration has been added.

It's coming to that time of the year again where people are thinking of planting schemes and adding new life into their gardens, even a small change can bring new colour and a fresh feel for your flower beds.

What are you hopes for this years garden? I find the variegated geraniums absolutely stunning and a fantastic easy to manage perennial.

Another little slice of beauty. This new build deserved an overhaul at the front of the house, with a modern take on the classic cottage look. Welsh slate and stone chippings along with some fantastic spring and summer interest plants to really liven up the over simplified and sometimes unaesthetic new build look.

Another little section of this amazing garden I’ve been working on.

They had lost access to their sheds as you can see as they had become completely over run with vegetation, 45 minutes later they had their path back and could get into their sheds again. ☺️

Well, I’m still here! I have been very quiet on social media whilst trying to keep the dream alive!

It’s been a difficult time of year and lots learnt this year about running my own business but I’m still pushing and trying to make people’s outdoor spaces better, tidier and more enjoyable.

I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas from us here at Gardens of Eden.

It’s been a wonderful year full of work and blessings, adding to gardens and creating beautiful new spaces.

Time to enjoy a few days off, rest and spend time with our family.

Thank you to all those who have supported us in our first year of this journey and we can’t wait to see what next year brings.
