One bed at a time, where passion meets petals

One bed at a time, where passion meets petals Retired me trying to create gardens within a garden at the back of my home, without a whole lot of digging. UK based

Inspiration comes from gardens l visit, plants l like and wildlife enjoying themselves trying to land on a bobbing flower head.

Pots removed, flint removed, tarmac to be removed, soil to be leveled. Replace tarmac and cover with sharp sand! Re site pots. Never mind squirrels eating bulbs, slugs/snails been eating gourmet from the pots. Last attempt before resorting to chemicals

The garden being in a state of flux again, no overall pics 😕 The fairy roses are doing well, my pride and joy Rhododendron from a twig, feeding plants really makes a difference, Astilbes looking good, my new Tulip tree, just look at those leaves and a yellow thing going to be pulled up full of blackfly. Was hoping to enjoy all my hard work from last year in the garden. Sad to say, it is not so. Who could believe that a neighbours new fence and pagoda could cause so much trouble? I won't go into it but all plants that like sun l need to move, a tree or two to hide the eyesores, the moving of my sheds so garden gets some sun. The fixing of my woodland/dinosaur garden fencing. Basically a total transformation. This happens every time work is done next door, every 3 yrs! Moan over, off to clean windows, as super dusty from stonework cutting. Need a dark night to get ladder out and peek over to see what going on.😕

That's it, my garden is going Tulip free in the ground...
Huge holes, due to extremeist squirrels again, destroying bulbs or are there any Tulip bulbs they not like?
