I have a friend/client who wanted support to represent ideas for her garden. We measured her garden together and I created a layout plan to scale for her. She wanted to work with some of the existing features and re-use some of the existing materials - her landscaping budget was modest.

I gave her the layout plan, professional tracing paper and a scale rular enabling her to develop her ideas to scale within her garden space. We discussed her sketches which I then used to create a more detailed sketch plan for her to review. as shown in the reel.

Sindy's Garden #2
A quick video note of the main things to be considered from the client brief when I am creating a design for Sindy's garden. It's essential to understand the key things which are important to the client in relation to how they want to use the garden. An example, I didn't say it in the video but this client is currently hauling his mower over the wall every time he mows the grass, and is why a new gate in the back wall will be included in the design.

Jings! Help ma boab! Never in a million years did I think I would be doing this. But then, why not. After all, I create inspirational and individual hand drawn and coloured garden design drawings and some of you might be interested in seeing the process...watch this space...

Such beautiful little flowers, this expanse of them is wonderful. Thank you.

According to one legend it was Venus who made the violet blue. She had been disputing with her son Cupid as to which was more beautiful... herself or a group of girls. Cupid, with no fear of his mother, declared for the girls. This sent Venus into such a rage that she beat her rivals till they turned blue and turned into violets.

I was driving in the borders and came across a wide verge covered in Red Campion. You may have noticed it out in flower whilst you have been out and about. It is one of my favorite native perennials to introduce into gardens. As you can see the flowers are a pretty deep pink, it is very long flowering and easy to grow. It will self seed introducing an attractive touch of randomness. Striking and beautiful, I love it.
