Another transformation completed! 👌

We removed the old, badly laid uneven paving and replaced it with brand-new R11 anti-slip porcelain paving from AC Paving Co, creating a much safer, cleaner, and more modern outdoor space.

The paving has been jointed using Flowpoint, one of the strongest paving grouts available, ensuring a durable, long-lasting finish that can withstand the elements for years to come.

A project with a bit of personal history too – this site used to be my secondary school before it was converted into housing, so it was great to come back and be part of its transformation.

If you’re looking to upgrade your patio, pathways, or outdoor areas with a professional finish, feel free to get in touch.

Following on with our theme of sharing projects from previous years, here’s a fantastic installation using AC Paving Co Naranja porcelain. Its warm tones and striking colour variations really come to life in the sunshine, complementing the rendered walls of the property beautifully and creating a modern yet welcoming finish.

As part of this project, we also transformed the front entrance paving to give the home a more impressive and curb-side appealing look. The refreshed entrance has helped create a stronger first impression, tying the whole property together with a clean and stylish appearance.

This job came with its challenges, particularly working around a large air source heat pump. Careful planning and precision were essential to ensure the installation flowed seamlessly while maintaining practical access and a high-quality finish around the unit.

The transformation at the rear of the property was especially rewarding. Replacing the old, tired concrete slabs with Naranja porcelain has completely elevated the space. The new patio looks stunning, providing a fresh, contemporary outdoor area that feels brighter, more spacious, and far more inviting than before. Seeing the contrast between the old concrete and the finished porcelain patio really highlights the impact of a well-designed outdoor renovation.

Another project we’re proud to look back on, showcasing how the right materials and attention to detail can completely transform both the appearance and usability of outdoor spaces.

2025 was a rather hectic year and Ive slowly been getting round to posting some of the jobs we did. On this one we were laying 900x600 Toscana porcelain with a dark contrasting edging sett from AC Paving Co

Now I can’t take much credit for this job as 80% of the paving was laid by our young lad Matt
after I suffered a severe shoulder injury, Matt stepped up in a way that showed real character and commitment. He took on the challenge and quickly proved himself capable of delivering work to a high standard. His willingness to learn, attention to detail, and determination to maintain quality during a difficult time made a huge difference and showed just how much he has grown in both skill and confidence.

Matt has since left us to take on his plumbing apprenticeship full time but drops back in from time to time when he’s free and I can’t thank him enough for all the hard work he does and I know he’ll go on to great things.

This full garden renovation transformed a heavily waterlogged and difficult-to-maintain outdoor space into a clean, practical, and visually striking garden. The original garden suffered from persistent flooding issues, with low-lying areas regularly becoming swamped and causing existing plants and lawn areas to fail. Sections of fencing had also begun leaning due to the unstable ground conditions.

The project involved a complete reworking of the garden layout and levels. New raised timber sleeper planters were installed throughout the space to improve drainage, create structure, and introduce defined planting areas. All timber retaining elements were treated internally with waterproof black jack coating to maximise durability and protect against future moisture issues.

Over 40 tonnes of fresh imported topsoil was brought into the property to rebuild levels and improve growing conditions across the entire garden. The lawn area was then fully returfed, creating a healthy, level finish that completely changed the appearance of the space.

Two new natural stone patio areas were installed — one adjoining the property and another seating area positioned at the rear of the garden — helping create functional outdoor living spaces while complementing the surrounding landscaping.

The fencing was repaired and straightened throughout the project, dramatically improving the overall finish and security of the garden. New planting borders and rockery details were also introduced to soften the space and add colour and texture.

Despite the clean final appearance, the project was extremely labour intensive due to difficult site access. All materials, including soil, paving, timber, and turf, had to be transported down ramps and carried approximately 200 metres from the loading area to the garden itself. The work was completed during peak summer temperatures with blistering heat and very little shade, adding another level of challenge to the build.

The before-and-after images highlight the complete transformation — from a dry, patchy, poorly functioning garden into a fresh, level, well-structured outdoor space designed for both appearance and long-term usability.

From overgrown wilderness to porcelain perfection 🌿➡️✨

This recent transformation showcases a complete garden upgrade, combining style, durability, and practicality. We installed AC Paving CoArgento 900x600 porcelain paving, finished with a dark contrasting border to define and enhance the space.

The project also included:
• Pet-friendly artificial grass for a clean, low-maintenance lawn
• A professionally built soakaway system to manage rainwater from the house extension
• A solid shed base constructed using reclaimed council slabs
• Precision jointing with Flowpoint for a long-lasting, high-quality finish

Another great project completed for a returning customer, and one we really enjoyed bringing to life!

We installed two beautifully finished patios using large 900mm x 600mm argento porcelain tiles from AC Paving Co, designed with matching curved edges to mirror each other and create a balanced, flowing look across the garden.

To frame the space, we built raised timber planter beds on either side, including a bespoke section to neatly house the customer’s robotic lawn mower — a practical touch that keeps everything looking clean and organised.

Access to the garden was extremely tight, with only millimetres to spare getting the digger down the side of the house, but with careful planning and precision we made it work without compromise.

The customer added some great finishing touches, including LED track lighting around the patio perimeter to really bring the space to life in the evenings, along with a gazebo which we installed to complete the area.

The patios were jointed using Flowpoint, a cement-based grout that sets rock solid, ensuring a durable and long-lasting finish.

To tie everything together, we over-seeded the lawn and applied a top dressing to bring it up to the new levels, leaving the whole garden looking fresh and ready for the season ahead.

And a special mention to the customer for keeping the team going with plenty of hot drinks, snacks, and top-quality bacon sandwiches — always appreciated on a busy job!

A fantastic transformation and great to be back working for a valued returning client!

Need extra parking space? We’ve got you covered.

This project features a 60mm Sorrento mixed-size block paving installation, carefully designed to provide the customer with ample space to comfortably park three vehicles side by side. The layout ensures there’s plenty of room to open car doors freely, without the risk of contact between vehicles—combining practicality with everyday convenience.

All of our block paving installations are built to last. We use a minimum of 150mm of fully compacted MOT Type 1 sub-base, finished with a laying course of fine lime chips. This modern method offers superior durability and stability—far outperforming traditional sand bases, which are now considered outdated.

This was a real team effort. It was great to see everyone pulling together, including young Kayden, who swapped his PlayStation controller for a rake and shovel during his school holidays. We were also pleased to welcome back Matt, a former team member now pursuing a plumbing apprenticeship, who kindly returned to lend a hand when it was most needed.

The finished result truly speaks for itself—delivering both quality and kerb appeal. It’s always especially rewarding to return to existing customers; a few years ago, we completed their patio, and it still looks just as impressive today as the day it was installed. That kind of longevity is what we pride ourselves on.

It’s great to be back working with natural stone after what felt like endless stretches of porcelain!

On this project, we’ve completely reconfigured the upper garden—carefully transplanting as many existing shrubs as possible and relocating others to new homes—creating space for a fresh, vibrant turf lawn.

We also installed a new pathway to connect seamlessly with the patio area, using 900x600mm sandstone slabs with a 100x100mm cobble edging. Every slab has been laid on a solid full bed (5:1 grit sand to cement), with the backs primed using a thick slurry, and all joints finished with flowpoint liquid cement—ensuring a durable finish that won’t shift, even under intense pressure washing.

To complete the transformation, we built a new retaining wall to form a raised planter, finished with matching sandstone coping for a clean, cohesive look.

All in all, the garden has been completely transformed into a far more attractive, practical space—perfectly suited for everyday family use.

Blood, sweat, and plenty of rain went into this one. You might not see the effort at first glance—but trust me, it was there, washed away day after day during one of the wettest starts to a project we’ve had!

Thankfully, we had extra hands on site Dave, Nick, Pete and young Kaiden, and they made all the difference. This was no small job.

Over 40 tonnes of MOT Type 1 were brought in and carefully wheelbarrowed through a tight alleyway around the house, then compacted to bring everything up to level with the new retaining walls.

We then laid 80m² (148 tiles) of Toscana 900x600 porcelain slabs, each one set on a full bed of sand and cement. Every slab was back-primed with adhesive slurry to ensure a long-lasting, secure finish. Once we finally caught a break in the weather, everything was grouted using a colour-matched, cement-based grout.

To top it off, the concrete block wall was finished with an interlocking tile pattern, adding that extra touch of detail.

A huge transformation all round, creating a durable, spacious outdoor area for the family to enjoy for years to come.
