The Lark Ascending one of my favourite David Austin Roses as it has a hefty presence in the border but the flowers are light and airy and just keep coming.

Spent the morning planting up these bespoke powder coated steel and oak planters made by Tim Gorringe
Big ones are 80 x 80 x 80
2 on the patio are on wheels so they can be moved around to suit clients needs
3 smaller planters by the spa pool are 80 x 50 x 80.
Plants supplied by Chalk Farm Nurseries
2 Trachycarpus fortunii and 1 Callistemon laevis all under planted by Muehlenbeckia to trail over the edges and some Heucheras I grew from cuttings from clients garden.
Big planter by steps has a Fig Brogiotto Bianco underplanted with Geum Queen of Orange and trailing Rosemary
2 big planters in patio have standard Catalpa bignonioides ‘Nana’ underplanted with more Muehlenbeckia and Erigeron karvinskianus

Really pleased with how they’ve turned out, clients are very happy and Tim Gorringe and I are both knackered after barrowing compost and also a random escaped rabbit hunt 🤣

Client is having the render painted next week so I needed to cut back this big hedge away from the wall and create enough access for the decorators to get in. Gave me a good opportunity to clear loads of dead inside the hedge and to reduce the height at the back so it’s easier for me to maintain going forward. Gap not pretty but it will soon close in as pittosporum grows fast. (Nb I did check for nesting birds before starting )
