Allington Nursery is a five acre site growing over 250,000 plants, not only for retail but also we have a Wholesale department.

To our valued and loyal customers, we are asking for your support.

As many of you will remember, the works carried out by Southern Water on Allington Lane caused significant disruption over a prolonged period of time. This included severe flooding, road closures, and extensive works inside our car park & at our entrance, with machinery, fencing, and roadworks in place for many weeks.

During this time, we received numerous phone calls from customers asking whether we were still open, as from the road it appeared that our business was closed. Unfortunately, this disruption had a substantial impact on customer access and resulted in a significant loss of trade for us.

Southern Water are now disputing that these works caused us any inconvenience or loss of business whatsoever. Our legal team have therefore advised us to reach out to our customers for support from those who witnessed or experienced the disruption first-hand.

If you remember the disruption caused, struggled to access us during this period, or contacted us regarding whether we were open, we would be extremely grateful if you could support us by commenting below or contacting us directly.

Supermarket quality…… Why would you even think of buying plants that look like this??? 🤦🏽‍♀️😳 From big supermarkets when you can go to smaller family run nursery’s and garden centres with perfect good quality plants, that are cared for, water & fed. You wouldn’t buy food that looks like this, so why would you buy plants that look like this. Supermarkets have a poor range of plants unlike nurseries who have lots of choice. It ends up being cheap is expensive.
