From the roar of 149,350 spectators in 1937 for Scotland vs. England, to record-breaking European nights, Hampden is far more than a name — it’s where football history has been made.

At jmarchitects, we are proud to have played a role in continuing that legacy. Our design and development of the national stadium in 2000 secured Hampden’s place at the forefront of international football, creating a modern venue capable of hosting the game at its highest level.
Sporting infrastructure is never only about sport—it’s where national identity and shared memory live, evolving over time while carrying the stories that define them. With that, we wish Scotland every success at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

What an incredible few days at UKREiiF 2026!
Our directors had a fantastic time connecting with industry leaders, partners, clients, and new faces from across the property, development, and infrastructure sectors. The event once again proved why it’s such an important platform for collaboration, innovation, and forward-thinking conversations shaping the future of the built environment.
A particular highlight for us was hosting our coffee morning, which gave us the chance to welcome so many great people for informal conversations, networking, and plenty of coffee! Thank you to everyone who stopped by, took the time to chat with our team, and contributed to such a warm, engaging, and enjoyable atmosphere. Events like these are all about the people, and we truly appreciated every conversation shared throughout the morning.
A huge thank you to the organisers, everyone we met over the course of the event, and all those who joined us for our coffee morning — we look forward to continuing the conversations over the coming weeks.
