Interlinked fire alarms are essential because if a fire starts in one room, you may not hear the nearest alarm from elsewhere in the house. Interlinked alarms all sound together, giving you vital time to react.

• One heat alarm in the kitchen
• One smoke alarm in the living room or main room
• One smoke alarm in every hallway or landing
