For most of this year, Iā€™ve been working on an idea to create a unique jigsaw puzzle and when I joined the fundraising team for the Stretham Tower Enhancement Project it felt like the perfect opportunity to bring this idea to life. Iā€™d already been thinking about collaborating with a local artist and when I approached her, she was thrilled to be involved. Sheā€™s worked incredibly hard on the design, especially given the brief: to create something that appeals not just bellringers but to a wider audience as well. Her attention to detail has been amazing throughout the process. Followed was more work than I ever anticipated! I spent countless hours researching churches across the Ely diocese-finding out which ones had bells, which no longer rang and uncovering fascinating facts about the different Towers. I even looked into pub names related to bells! I cross referenced maps double checked websites for discrepancies and used street view to ensure all the church architecture was accurate.

On top of that the puzzle is now in the hands of a small manufacturer here in England who have been fantastic answering all my emails (Melanie) and making sure everything is just right. Iā€™m so excited to share that the puzzle has now gone to print and I canā€™t wait to see the final product when it arrives in a few weeks!
