The Peacocks Committee are deighted to announce that the garden is now open again. The damaged items have now been removed. But following incidents of malicious damage we are not longer able to accept donations of children's toys and play things for the garden.
It was becoming too difficult for volunteers to contstantly monitor play items for wear and damage, and the the process of disposing of them is time-consuming and expensive.
You are of course welcome to bring your own toys, bikes, etc with when you visit. But please don't leave any further items there, as they will have to be removed.
More positive news. The committee is liaising with a Forest School practitioner to bring structured, natured-based activities to the garden next year.

We now have another proud peacock in Peacocks Meadow.
This, and other items including toys, tables and seating have been donated by our lovely residents.
Peacocks Meadow is a safe, secure place for summer walks, picnics and children's play.
A few guidance notes for users to have keep the garden pleasant for all.
Dogs must be on leads, clear up after your dog, using the bin.
Put your litter in the bin provided.
Please don't allow children:
To climb the trees
Climb into the planters.
Remove decorative items from the planters.
Climb on the fence surrounding the pond
Throw toys into the pond.
Thank you

A message from the Peacocks Meadow committee. Did you enjoy your 'celebration' in the community garden yesterday? While the committee welcomes families and groups of people and hopes they enjoy the garden, we do NOT welcome the people who left a mass of balloons filled with foil behind them. Yes, the man who drove his car, full of party balloons to the garden .... we mean YOU, and your party. It took our volunteers (with the help of young Cubs) over an hour to clear this up. balloons are hazardous to wildlife ..... and the thousands of pieces of foil confetti was an unsightly mess. Thank you to all those who helped clear up after this inconsiderate gathering.

We'd like to thanks the Art in Adams group for their splendid revamp of our sign!
The community garden is especially beautiful at this time of year. Lots to see and do. We have new seating kindly donated by Littleport Timber Buildings. And lots of shady nooks to sit in. The perfect place for a peaceful walk or a picnic.
