Prolonged dry weather can seriously stress trees, particularly younger specimens. Watch for leaf scorch, wilting, premature autumn colour, or excessive leaf drop. Deep watering (slow and prolonged rather than frequent light watering) helps roots access moisture. Mulching around the base retains soil moisture and moderates temperature.
