Just over a week ago, I shared an idea.

I always say that ideas are there to be tested. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't, and occasionally they turn into something rather lovely.

When this ceiling grid arrived, I wasn't entirely sure where it would lead, but I knew I wanted to create something beautiful above our kitchen display.
Fast forward a week, a few peonies later, and with a little bit of Fox & Bear magic, the vision has finally come to life.

Design isn't always about having all the answers. Sometimes it's about being curious enough to give an idea a chance.

I think this one was worth trying. 🌸🦊

A little Fox & Bear magic… ✨🦊

Every project starts with a conversation and a sketch, but it's the thoughtful details that make a space truly special.

Inspired by our showroom display, we lined this glazed cabinet with a beautiful vegetable fabric, added subtle lighting and created an unexpected moment of joy that links old and new together perfectly.

Because sometimes it's the smallest details that make a house feel like home.

People often hear me say that every project starts with a conversation.

At Fox & Bear HQ, though, every conversation seems to start with a project.

Anthony is downstairs adding the skirting and cornice to our newest display, while I'm obsessing over bobbin details from and debating whether they should be painted blue or red.

Samples are arriving, decisions are being made, and all those little finishing touches are starting to come together.

Which means I'm nearly at my favourite stage — rummaging through second-hand shops, car boot sales and charity shops to find all the bits that make a room feel lived in and loved.

I can't wait to show you the finished space. 🦊

The showroom is here for you to experience.

We always encourage our clients to open the doors, switch on the lights, explore the storage and play with the accessories. It's often only when you see and use these things in real life that you discover what works best for your home and your lifestyle.

This new display combines a midnight blue painted ash exterior with a soft grey linen interior, integrated lighting, internal drawers and a pull-down rail. Every detail has been carefully considered, but more importantly, every detail can be adapted.

Because whilst we love creating beautiful interiors, we believe great design starts with understanding how you live.

To us, bespoke doesn't simply mean "made to measure".

It means creating something that is unique to you and your needs.

And that's exactly what our showroom is designed to help you do.

Showroom Project Recap 🦊

From an empty corner… to carcasses… to doors… more doors… and eventually illumination!

This little section of our showroom has been transformed into a fully illuminated wardrobe display, featuring soft grey linen interiors, sensor-controlled lighting, internal drawers and a pull-down rail.

The solid ash painted doors in Midnight Blue are finished with some rather fabulous burgundy handles from Plank, which tie in beautifully with the wallpaper and the Elizabethan Red details nearby.

There are still plenty of finishing touches to come, but we already think this has turned into something rather special.

Now comes my favourite part… accessorising!
And if you've watched the reel, you'll already know…
I do love a good handle. 😄

End of day one!

If you've seen our previous reel, this is the continuation of the story.

By now, you can probably guess what we're building… 👀

Today's mission was setting all the carcasses, routing channels for the integrated LED lighting, completing the electrics and getting everything ready for tomorrow.

We went with a three-door layout – one single and one double wardrobe.

If all goes to plan, tomorrow we'll be installing the doors and revealing the colour and hardware choices.

And apparently everything has to be "flush with the stretcher"… whatever that means 😂
