Today was a day for helping my 95 year old Grandmother to catch up with the w**ding and doing your usual cutting back, as well as, redefining the lawn edges and topping up the gravel edge. There is plenty more work to be done in the bottom borders if my Grandmother will let me near them! 😆

Often people think that in autumn and winter the work in the garden stops but that's not the case. There's always something to do, like the cleaning out the drains. This drain was completely full of debris and w**ds which was stopping water flowing correctly and causing overflowing. Regular maintenance of your drains and guttering is very important.

Autumn w**ding, pruning and tidying completed on this rockery area. I was asked to reduce the hypericums which has opened up the space nicely. All dead, damaged and deseased wood was removed which should help with regeneration in spring. The Celmatis armandii was removed from climbing through the Aucuba japonica and the area was thoroughly w**ded and leaves cleared while 4 new Primula's were planted to add some colour.

Autumn w**ding, pruning and tidying completed on this rockery area. I was asked to reduce the hypericums which has opened up the space nicely.
