This week's is the lovely perennial dianthus, aka Sweet William, "Rockin' Red". Despite the delicate, lacy appearance of the flowers, this plant is super tough and hardy, and also naturally slug/ snail resistant. It blooms for a lengthy period between late spring and autumn with a little dead-heading helping to keep the flowers coming! We have one litre pots for £4 each (3 for £10), and three litre pots for £6 in stock now.

It's time, and in the spotlight this week is the wonderfully exotic-looking passiflora caerulea (blue passion flower). This large, fast growing climber will effortlessly cover a good sized pergola, archway or fence within a single season, producing generous amounts of big beautiful blooms from June through to mid autumn. The peachy-coloured fruits that follow the flowers are also edible! We have potted passiflora caerulea, supported on bamboo hoops, in stock priced at just £7 each.

Our featured this time is the beautiful Tamerix Tetranda shrub. A medium-sized deciduous shrub with arching, almost black branches, minute green conifer-like leaves and large plumes of light pink flowers in late spring. Fully hardy, drought resistant and salt tolerant, its open, feathery habit also makes it capable of withstanding high winds. A fabulous low-maintenance option! We currently have large Tamerix Tetranda in full bloom in stock, priced at £10 each. 🌸🌸🌸

Weigela is this week's , a beautiful flowering shrub which is currently in full bloom. Very hardy and low maintenance, weigela makes a wonderful focal point in beds, borders, pots or even a mixed hedge. It flowers profusely between late April and June, its trumpet-shaped masses of blooms attracting beneficial pollinators to the garden. We currently have three varieties of weigela available; Bristol Ruby, Rosea and Florida variegata, all priced at £8 per large pot.
