Finally got some photos of the completed bifold door restoration.

This was one of the more challenging repairs I've taken on recently. Years of weather exposure had left parts of the timber badly rotten, and the unpredictable rain certainly didn't make things any easier!

Rather than replacing the doors, the damaged timber was carefully repaired and restored, bringing them back to life and saving the customer the significant cost of new doors.

It's always satisfying to see a project go from "beyond saving" to looking smart and functional again.

A lot of decorating is in the preparation but technique matters too 👌

Taking the time to lay paint off properly helps create a much smoother finish with minimal roller marks.

This is one of those small details that most people never see, but it makes a big difference to the final result.

A slightly different day for Yugo Painting today 😊

I spent two day at the Dulux Academy in Slough on an intermediate wallpapering course, learning new techniques and picking up plenty of tips from the professionals.

I believe there’s always something new to learn in this trade, and investing in training is one of the best ways to continue improving the quality of work I can offer my customers.

A great day, lots learned, and I’m looking forward to putting some of it into practice on future projects 👌

Current mission at Yugo Painting 👀

Trying to save these beautiful bifolding doors rather than replacing them. A lot more preparation and repair work involved than it first looked, but definitely worth taking the time to do properly.

Today even the cycling Oakleys had to become decorating equipment 😂

Still very much a work in progress, but I’ll upload the finished result next week once everything is repaired, sanded and fully finished 👌

Still not the best at keeping up with social media 😅 but it’s been a very busy few weeks at Yugo Painting.

Last week’s mission was saving this heavily cracked ceiling and bringing it back to a smooth finish again 👌

A lot of preparation, repairs, sanding and patience went into this one, but really happy with how it turned out in the end.

Thank you again to everyone keeping me busy with all the decorating projects recently really appreciate all the support, recommendations and reviews 😊

Bathroom ceiling rescue.
This one was a challenge peeling paint, tricky surfaces and even protection didn’t want to cooperate.
Everything was properly repaired, sanded using a dust-free system and brought back to a clean, durable finish.
Preparation is everything.
