Last Thursday evening I was sick and started feeling unwell, I continued to work over the weekend to get everyone's drain downs done despite feeling worse everyday. Monday morning when I woke up I was really yellow/jaundiced and went to hospital where I was admitted with liver failure and eventually diagnosed with HEV viral hepatitis. This could of been picked up through food or working in toilet systems. After 4 days on IV antibiotics and medications my liver has started to repair and I was allowed to come home last night however, I will be taking the rest of the week off to build my strength up so I can start next week to repair the damage some have had with the freeze.
