What an amazing event and the ultimate ride, the Fred Whitton Challenge certainly delivers everything, the unrelenting climbs and its wonderful location create this amazing experience and one of the toughest Sportive in the country. Thank you to the organisers of the event for putting on such a fantastic day.

And we did it! 💥💪

Lewis managed an amazing 6hr 50mins and I completed the ride in 9hr 4mins.

In Grasmere at 5.15am getting ready for the ride and the weather was a rather chilly -2 degrees 🥶 and we were in the queue ready to leave at 5.50am.

We crossed the start line around 6.15 ready to take on the challenges that lay ahead. Lewis had his sights on a fast time and my objective was to get round the course completing it on two wheels with no walking.

108 miles, 11,955 ft of elevation and so far around £1500 💰 raised for charity!

I do feel a sense of achievement, also very proud of everyone who took part especially my friends Darryl, Tom and Josh who helped us complete this challenge with training and riding along side me, a true team effort!
