Morning mist.
Some Willows just 200 metres from my place. I have shot them many times. This is the first time the result has pleased me.

I started off wanting to get shots of an unusual apple variety - 'Profit' or maybe 'Poor man's Profit'. It didn't look right until some flowers moved in.

Certain subjects get photographed by me every year and fill up external drives with images that seldom get seen... but I enjoy it. Comfrey flowers always get a few million pixels wasted on them in their season. This flower attracted me. I like the colours and the not quite symmetry. This was the only inflorescence like this, a bit of a freak perhaps or just caught at exactly the right time.

About 30 years ago my son gave me a little bundle of Snowdrops 'in the green' - they thrived and I have spread them around the place. As far as I know these are the wild type - they do seem to be smaller and 'prettier' than some, probably a clone that is a bit different to most wild ones. They deserve to be a posy all on their own without any company.
