We are looking for motivated and hardworking individuals to join our team at Christie-Elite Nurseries in Forres, Moray, as we prepare for the busy season ahead.

Current Opportunities:
4 Seasonal Nursery Worker Positions
▫️ Hands-on roles supporting our bareroot and cell-grown departments.
▫️ Tasks include grading, lifting, lining out, and general nursery care.
▫️ Seasonal roles with the potential for repeat or ongoing employment.

Dispatch Manager
▫️ Lead and coordinate dispatch, delivery, and cold store operations.
▫️ Manage a team, oversee stock handling, and ensure timely, high-quality deliveries.
▫️ A leadership role with responsibility for efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Website Sales/General Nursery Worker
▫️ A varied role combining online order fulfilment and customer service with hands-on nursery work.
▫️ Picking, packing, and dispatching website orders, maintaining stock quality, and supporting polytunnel operations.
▫️ Ideal for candidates with a mix of IT, customer service, and practical skills.

The deadline for applications to the UK Apache Corporation Tree Grant Program is fast approaching! To be considered, please apply by 5th August 2024 ahead of the upcoming planting season.

The program is open to nonprofits and government agencies for projects including reforestation, flood prevention, restoration and habitat creation.

This National Plant Health Week, we are thrilled to share that we have officially achieved Plant Healthy accreditation. 🎉

The Plant Healthy Certification Scheme is a voluntary initiative designed to enhance biosecurity standards across the ornamental horticulture, forestry, and amenity plant and tree supply chains. Whether businesses import stock, source locally within the UK, or do both, this scheme aims to ensure high standards of plant health and biosecurity.

We believe that as growers, we have a responsibility to protect our plants and woodlands from destructive pests and diseases. By becoming Plant Healthy Certified, we have proved that we have rigorous biosecurity measures in place to prevent the introduction of pests and diseases through the supply chain. These include monitoring for pests and pathogens, maintaining traceability and implementing early detection and rapid response protocols.

Our accreditation under the Plant Healthy Certification Scheme demonstrates our commitment to environmental stewardship and responsible plant management. By adhering to these standards, we are contributing to a healthier plant ecosystem and protecting our cultivated and native flora.

We are proud to announce our support in the launch of the UK Apache Tree Grant Program!

The initiative is an expansion of Apache Corporation's award-winning annual US tree grant program, an environmental stewardship initiative which has resulted in the planting of over five million trees since its inception in 2005. The program focuses on facilitating large-scale conservation, protecting habitats for wildlife and native species as well as restoring and enhancing public green spaces.

Marking the program's arrival to the UK in 2023, we helped to deliver over 3,600 trees to five deserving organisations based in the North-east of Scotland. The grant recipients include Camphill School Aberdeen, River Dee Trust , Beannachar Limited, Belhelvie Community Trust and Findochty Primary School.

The inaugural UK Tree Grant Program is a testament to our shared commitment to environmental stewardship, habitat restoration, and the flourishing of green spaces across Scotland. We are grateful to be involved in a program that will leave a lasting legacy for future generations.

We send our congratulations to the inaugural grant recipients and wish them all the best with planting. We look forward to growing more trees for such a good cause!

We love supporting great local projects, especially when they involve creating a living sculpture of Nessie out of yew trees!

We donated trees to help create this model of the Loch Ness Monster as part of a project called Holm Grown, a community garden run by Holm Community Council and Incredible Edible Inverness. We can’t wait to see how big Nessie grows!
