Old conservatory roof replaced with cedar shingles and 2 new velux windows added!

Good, solid days work today getting this old felt roof and ply stripped. New OSB fixed to existing joists and a brand new rubber membrane and anthracite trims to finish it all off.
Loveley quick turnaround for the customer to get everything put back inside.

All dug by hand due to an obscene amount of underground pipes in this particular area!
Old clay waste pipes replaced for plastic and simplified.
All concreted back in ready for underfloor heating and a screed.
Timber roof built with box gutter detail falling both ways from centre, 7x2 firrings to allow water run off, 3 skylight upstands to allow some natural light into what would otherwise be quite a dark area.
18mm osb fixed to the roof joists with an air gap for abutment vets to allow any moisture to find its way out.
Block walls built with door opening both sides ready for sand and cement render.

Old garage completely brought back to life, incredible transformation!
Ladies toilet removed and internal walls taken down to create a utility room connecting to the new extension.
All existing borders cleared away to gain access to replace the rotten back garage door with a new PVC door.
Unstable wall removed and rebuilt to separate the workshop area from the new utility room, with a fire door to be fitted.
Rotten timbers removed from beneath the centre RSJ and rebuilt with brick, all walls subsequently rendered with sand and cement then painted.
Ply wood platform built on top of existing wall in freezer to allow storage space.
Ceiling insulated, plaster boarded and then skimmed to finish everything off nicely and increase the temperature on the cold winter evenings when working on the latest project car!
