Thanks to everyone who has reached out and been patient whilst I've navigated this health issue. I am out of hospital after surgery just over a week ago and thankfully I'm starting to feel a bit better!

I'll be working through any messages/requests etc towards the new year once I'm a little more recovered.

Quick update and a big thank you!

Thank you so much to everyone who sent messages and well wishes over the last few days — it really has meant a lot.

I’m now home from hospital and feeling much more stable, but I will still need surgery, which has been scheduled for 15th December. This means I’ll be out of action for around 4 weeks afterwards while I recover.

In the meantime, I’m looking to get any outstanding jobs booked in and completed before the 15th, wherever possible. If you’re waiting to arrange a job or need something sorted soon, please get in touch and I’ll do my best to fit you in over the next couple of weeks.

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to give a quick update. I’ve been unexpectedly admitted to hospital and will be undergoing emergency surgery shortly.

Because of this, I’ll be unable to work for the next 3–4 weeks while I recover.

🔑🚗 I recently completed an all-keys-lost job on a VW Passat 2011 — here’s exactly what I did to get the customer back on the road without tow or dealer intervention:

• Picked the door lock to gain entry and decoded it to cut a working emergency key.
• This vehicles EEPROM/IMMO data cannot be read over OBD.
• Dropped the glovebox to access and remove the Comfort Control Module.
• Removed the EEPROM chip from the CCM PCB and read the vehicle’s IMMO data.
• Pre-coded a dealer-level key, then wrote the key back to the EEPROM.
• Resoldered the EEPROM to the board, refitted the CCM, reassembled the vehicle.
• Fully tested — key successfully turns the ignition on and starts the engine.

🔑 All Keys Lost – Audi A3 2010 🚗

I had a customer recently who had lost all keys to their Audi A3, leaving them completely stuck. Here’s how I got them back on the road:

✔️ Picked the locks and decoded them to cut a brand-new key blade that turned the ignition
✔️ The IMMO data couldn’t be read through OBD as the cluster wouldn’t go into programming mode
✔️ Removed the car’s ECM and read it directly to get the PIN and partial CS code
✔️ Retrieved the final byte of the CS code by sniffing from the ignition with a key simulator
✔️ With the full data, I created a dealer key and programmed it to the vehicle
✔️ Tested and confirmed – engine started and central locking worked perfectly!

All done on-site, saving the customer the hassle of towing the car to a dealer.

🚙🔑 2018 Land Rover Discovery Sport – Spare Key & Emergency Blades

We recently helped out a customer who bought their Discovery Sport with only one key – and to make matters worse, it was missing the emergency blade, meaning there was no way to open the vehicle through the physical locks if the fob battery ever went flat.

Here’s what we did to get them sorted:

✔️ Programmed a new spare key using the latest method – no need to remove the RFA/KVM module from the vehicle.
✔️ Picked open the door lock with a Lishi tool and decoded it to retrieve the correct key cuts.
✔️ Verified the decoded cuts with InstaCode to ensure a matching code.
✔️ Cut a brand-new emergency blade for the customer’s original key.
✔️ Cut and supplied a matching emergency blade for the new spare key.
✔️ Fully tested – both keys and blades working perfectly!

Now the customer not only has two working keys, but also the peace of mind that they can always unlock their vehicle with the emergency blade if needed.
