Attic conversions can add valuable space to your home… but it’s important to take into account how best to introduce natural light in areas like these.

Using Velux windows, Cabrio Velux balconies and rooflights, we were able to introduce lots of light (and ventilation) whilst creating a real focal point at the same time 😍.

Visualise your property renovation project with 3D sketches that are the first step to making your dream become a reality 💭…

This detached home was due to undergo both a conversion and extension.

The existing double garage was to be converted ↪️ into two extra bedrooms, a bathroom and utility room. Alongside this work, a two-storey extension to the side was also planned resulting in a garage and more living space.

Finally, a single-storey extension to the rear of the property was also part of the design which would include a sunroom with a triangular glazed window, ideal for introducing natural light ☀️ into the property.

We had some key criteria:

What do you get when you combine the traditional with new modern elements?

This stone cottage in the conservation area of Bearsden ⬇️, a project we took on here at Bach Design.

The existing dining room was poorly insulated, so the extension had to be well insulated, whilst also creating a connection from the kitchen through to the garden.
