This kitchen was for a rental property where the customer wanted a budget kitchen however by adding a dark walnut block effect worktop along with brick tiles and pewter handles it really elevated the final look. The floors were sanded and stained with a dark walnut to tie in with the worktop and breakfast bar.

This was an incredible transformation from the dull, unloved space that it was. We opened up the fireplace to allow the new log burning stove to be fitted, plastered around the stove whilst leaving a brick reveal around the edges. We then sanded and stained the original wood floor with a light oak stain before fitting a ceiling rose and chandelier light fitting. The room was then finished by painting the walls and ceiling with Farrow and Ball ‘Hague’ blue paint.

We were working on a customers house who had put these two bedside drawers out for the dump as they didn’t go with her new bedroom decor. While taking a break I quickly brought them back to life using some materials I had left in the van. The customer couldn’t believe it was the same drawers and straight away put them in her new bedroom.

We transformed this Victorian bedroom by revealing the original wooden floors, repairing any loose or damaged boards, sanded and finished with a mid oak stain. We then had to repair some of the original woodwork around the window, touched up damaged parts of the wall and ceiling with plaster and painted.

This is part of our ‘Reface’ service we offer where we can transform kitchens or bathrooms at a fraction of the cost of replacing everything and with a fraction of the disruption. This customer was getting her home ready to sell but felt the kitchen let it down and understandably didn’t want to spend the money on a brand new kitchen just to sell it. We primed and painted the cabinets and splashback then painted the walls to tie it all together. Other options we could have carried out would have been replacing all of the handles and/or the worktop but for this project, speed and cost were the main factor for the customer.

Customer was having problems with water leaking behind the old grout on the tiles and silicone on the shower tray but didn’t want to change the whole room. We fitted a brand new shower, tiled, painted and finished by sanding and staining the original floor boards in a dark walnut stain.

This was what we like to call our ‘Reface’ service where by we make a bathroom or kitchen look new again at a fraction of the cost and disruption. We cleaned, primed and painted the tiles with a matte white tile paint and then added a wood clad trim to the wall which was later painted pink. We replaced the sink, toilet and radiator before finishing with a new waterproof laminate. This is becoming an increasingly more popular service.

This was an original cast iron fireplacethat my customer found neglected in the hopes she could use it in her bedroom. We got to work restoring it back to its glory, opened up the wall in the room to let the fireplace sink in and built up a slate hearth to tie it all together. We finished off the decorating for the rest of the room, put some candles inside the fireplace and the customer was thrilled.
