Eryngium 'Big Blue' is looking cracking at the moment. With its spiky blue flowers and thistle-like look, it's easy to see why it reminds us of Scotland's national flower. Tough, hardy and loved by bees and other pollinators.

And speaking of Scotland, what a start to the World Cup with a 1โ€“0 win in the opening game!

๐Ÿ We caught this wee bee enjoying one of our lilies today.

Bees are so important for pollinating flowers, fruit and vegetables, helping our gardens and the wider environment thrive.

You can help them by planting pollinator friendly flowers, avoiding chemicals where possible, and growing a mix of plants that flower from spring through to autumn so thereโ€™s always food available.

You can also add a bee water station or shallow dish with stones or floating cork so they can safely land and drink.

Even small pots and tubs make a difference ๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿ

Some beautiful plants to brighten up your Thursday ๐Ÿ˜„๐ŸŒฟ

๐ŸŒธ Herbaceous Perennial Dahlia featuring stunning bronze foliage and masses of flowers throughout the season. As a perennial, it will return year after year.

๐Ÿงก Begonia Nonstop 'Sunset Shades' is a real showstopper with its warm sunset tones. These will continue flowering right through to autumn.

๐ŸŒป Dwarf Sunflowers are perfect for pots, borders. Despite their compact size, they still grow a good few feet and will produce plenty of cheerful blooms that pollinators love.

๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟWe'll be cheering on Scotland this weekend in their first World Cup game! Scotland tops are strongly encouraged if you're popping in to see us.

๐Ÿ๐Ÿ’œ The little bees are loving our Nepeta 'Junior Walker'! We counted 9 wee fuzzy bees on the plants at the same time.

This herbaceous perennial is perfect for pollinators, producing masses of lavender-blue flowers throughout summer. Growing to around 45cm tall with a 60cm spread, it's ideal for borders, pots and planters.

It's also know as catmint/nip so the Cats love it too! ๐Ÿ˜ธ
