🔨 Extensive plastering works we completed on a property in Glasgow.

This job involved removing redundant socket back boxes and making good all affected areas, alongside repairing sections of blown plaster and reinstating the walls to a solid, level finish.

🚪 A previously blocked-up doorway was fully plastered over and seamlessly blended into the existing wall, leaving no visible trace of the original opening.

⚒️ The most labour-intensive area was around the main entrance door, where significant damage required thorough preparation, bonding out, and careful rebuilding before finishing.

✅ All surfaces were properly prepared, repaired, and brought back to a smooth, uniform finish — ready for decoration.

Not a bad week’s work for me and the apprentice 👌

165m² corridor skimmed this week in a school over the Easter holidays 🏫

The wood panelling was already removed for us, and the gaps where the wooden studs were have been filled with expanding foam 🔨

We trimmed the foam back and got everything prepped ready for plastering 🧱

Both sides completed with a clean, consistent, smooth finish throughout ✨

All set and ready for the decorators 🎨

The client had damp issues in their porch area. To address this, we applied a scratch coat of sand and cement render incorporating a waterproofing additive. This was followed by a straightening (floating) coat, also treated with waterproofing. The work was then completed with a final finishing coat of plaster.

Here we removed steel windowsill, installed plasterboard around the window and plastered the walls to a smooth finish ready for decorating. We also removed the radiator prior to plastering and refitted it after plastering.
