Last night Iain Monteith took part in event at focusing on the relationships between cinema and architecture and in particular the theme of ‘A to B’.
Iain presented his thoughts on ‘The Copa Shot’ (directed by and filmed by Larry McConkey) and discussed its importance in cinema history and architecturally in terms of moving through thresholds, creating interactions and considering projects from ‘street to seat’.
As well as presenting the scene and explaining its creation through memory, vision, artistic skill and technical ability, Iain also produced an illustration to explain the journey that takes place to form the scene.
He demonstrated the significance of illustration as a communication method to document such experiences through the work of , and his son’s own drawing of a day out for pizza!
A great night was had by all.
A special thanks to and shout out to presenters .r.isaacs and to everyone that came along.
