Here’s a little tip for those who follow:

DIY stores are not ideal for paint purchases. As most trades have their own specialists, so do decorators. There are decorator centres that stock way better and cheaper paints than Valspar..

But remember this: They are SALESMEN and not decorators. They can update themselves on the specifications but have minimal to zero amount of experience. They haven’t seen your job and will give a generic answer based off of manufacturers specifications. That DOES NOT mean that it is what you need for your specific job. It’s a guideline, not a gospel!

Decorators apply paint day in and day out for years and even decades, almost every single day!

Trust that your decorator knows what is best for your specific project. If you don’t trust the decorator to get that right then surely you shouldn’t be hiring them 🙂🫶
