Yesterday and today and for the rest of the week at least now, what started as a fairly simple strip off, felt batten and tile has turned in to something else! 😬😬 Roof timbers have rotted out and two have partially snapped so we are replacing all of them and the wall plate!

I hope everyone’s new year has started well! Ours has! We have started a full kitchen restoration in North Chapel for one of our favourite clients! Kitchen out, ceilings down and a full rewire courtesy of ADR Electrical and we have boarded the ceilings and part boarded the walls where needed ready for the plasterer on Monday. A new kitchen will be fitted shortly.

Had a call from a client this morning who had noticed water along the bottom edge of the kick panel in there kitchen. So after removing the kick panel we located the leak to a compression waste fitting and a leaking brass boss into the stack. Intially the plan was to cut the brass boss off and put a new strap boss on and reconnect the waste from the sink but after removing the brass boss we noticed that the stack pipe was Misshaped so we ended up cutting out a section of the stack and replacing with a branched stack and slip coupling all in the tightest of space’s. One very happy customer. 😎
