Very accommodating and helpful. This was the first time we were having our (marble) floors polished so perhaps we were expecting too much, but there was only a slight improvement on the shine after polishing.

These photographs were taken at an old property in Godstone that was undergoing renovations including the conversion of a scullery with a Brick floor into a children’s playroom. As part of the renovation work the builder had prised off some of the Vinyl tiles and pulled up the cement screed that used to even out the floor underneath.

The builder had advised smashing up the brick floor and laying something else, fortunately the homeowner who wants to keep any original features in the property disagreed. Having searched on the internet for someone to restore the floor they found Tile Doctor and I was asked to take a look.

The pictures below are of a Travertine tiled shower cubicle at a property in Leatherhead. The tiles were mainly stained by the dyes you get in shampoo and soap and I was confident a good scrub would get them clean.

The Grout however had darkened with dirt that had become trapped in its porous top later and the silicone sealant around the edges had become stained with mould.

This client from Redhill had her kitchen floor tiled with Travertine tiles following a house extension a few years ago. The extension had enabled the kitchen to be made significantly larger however as the new floor settled a crack developed along the line of the join between the old and new concrete floor causing the Travertine tiles to crack along the line.

Now before I get in-undated with calls about replacing cracked tiles I need to point out that I only do this work when its part of a whole floor renovation.

This client from Charlwood near Gatwick had a couple of problems with his Black Slate tiled kitchen floor. First the washing machine had leaked something onto the tiles and second their son had a habit of scraping his toys across the floor.

All of this had taken its toll on the original sealer and the Black Slate was now stained, scratched, and looking washed out.

A Surrey landlord contacted us to have the Terracotta floor tiles in the Kitchen of a rental property in Dormansland cleaned and sealed after Tenants moved out.

It had been a while since this Victorian tiled hallway at a property in Reigate had received a deep clean and re-seal and it was now looking quite unloved. The sealer had almost worn off and dirt had become ingrained in the pores of the tile leaving it dull and lifeless.

Hallways floors receive a lot of foot traffic so do need regular attention if they are to look their best and this example was no different.
