I have been rather concentrating on writing rather than painting lately but must really shake my brushes out again once the weather settles down a bit. I managed a couple of paintings for my club's current exhibition but difficult to settle when it is too hot or too cold in my studio. (Must be getting old!)

This is a picture book for reluctant readers.
Following the praise for Petal's Paints, I delved into my archives and found several stories about William that I had written for my grandchildren 25 years ago. So I took my hero and put him into a picture book. William wants to join in with the boys in his street, but he has to prove himself first.

I have just received copies of this book ready for sale at my local Methodist Church fair on Saturday. You may recall the story of the Tamworth Two, in 1998. They escaped from the abatoir and hit the world press as they remained free for a week much to everyone's amusement. They finally found a safe home in an animal sanctuary.
I wrote this story for children way back then and my clever friend Linda turned my amateur original into a real book.
