Following tonight's PM announcement of national lockdown, I will still be working as an essential worker.

I have put additional safety measures in place since returning to work at the end of May such as;

- PPE worn for the duration of time in your home (gloves, mask & protective eye wear).

- Washing facilities have been added to my van so that hands are cleaned inbetween appointments.

- NO contact is made other than with your fire place or appliance. A safe distance is kept at ALL times & no one is allowed in the room whilst work is carried out.

- Ventilation is required in rooms where work is being completed and ideally doors left cracked open where possible.

If you wish to cancel a booking currently in place, then I completely understand given risks imposed at this present time.

Anyone with safety concerns with regards to safely using their fire with out myself attending, please call me and I will pass on basic checks to reduce risks by not having your chimney swept.

WARNING - Birds are currently very active building their nests. I have had several calls from customers in the last week or two who have had to call the fire bridge following birds nesting in chimneys.

If you haven't used your fire for a few days, and don't have a terminal over your chimney, visually look into the chimney if possible and check with a small fire initially that you have sufficient draw.
