A client requested modifications to the window and door layout at the rear of this bungalow to accommodate changes to the internal wall configuration. At the client's request, we opened the pantry adjacent to the kitchen to maximize the available space. A custom-made steel lintel was fabricated to meet the specific design requirements. The next task involved installing drainage from the rear of the property to the existing manhole at the front, facilitating the creation of a utility room at the back.

The project involved transforming the client’s garden vision into a reality, starting with the construction of a retaining wall to create distinct garden levels. ACO drains were installed to ensure effective water management. The space was finished with premium grey sandstone slabs and coping stones, providing a sleek, modern aesthetic. For the joints, we used a high-quality basalt EasyJoint, offering a durable and refined finish.

The ceiling sustained significant damage due to a major leak from the bathroom above. The affected plasterboards were carefully replaced, and the surface was freshly skimmed. A final coat of paint was applied to restore the ceiling to its original condition.

We were contacted regarding water intrusion in the property. Upon inspection, it was determined that when the front side of the house was re-roofed by another contractor, the ridge and the roofing felt beneath it were not replaced. The ridge tiles exhibited significant weathering, and the roofing felt had deteriorated, leading to water infiltration. We have since replaced the felt, battens, and ridge, as well as a few broken tiles. If you have any further concerns or require assistance with your property, we would be happy to help.

The customer plans to extend the garden by utilizing the space behind the wall, with a new fence installed along the perimeter.
