Today marks 6 months of me being in business.

I would just like to thank everyone who has supported me, it really does mean a lot! It was a major leap of faith for me, and for the family, however thanks to all of you it has been much easier than feared.

Big thanks too for being patient with Heather while she attempts to figure out the different software we are using whilst also learning a bit more about what I do. She may or may not be getting replaced soon... 🤣

There's no doubt that the conflicts overseas are causing concerns here, and due to our location we are limited as to our heating fuel options.
If you do use oil fuelled appliances to heat your home or for cooking, please ensure you get them serviced regularly by an OFTEC Registered Engineer. Having your appliance regularly serviced ensures it runs as efficiently as possible, and so not using more fuel than it should. This OFTEC clip gives a wee insight into the importance of servicing.

We endeavour to attend to breakdown callouts same day where possible, including cover at the weekends and during holidays (our own personal holidays being the exception).

Recently we've had some callouts for breakdowns that don't necessarily need an engineers attendance... If we can help you get your heating back on over the phone without the unnecessary expense of an unscheduled visit, we will always try to help you.

Here's a snippet from our FAQ's on our website.

"I'm quite handy with technical things, can I just get some advice over the phone?

Yes, absolutely. We want nothing more than to get your home cosy as soon as possible.

Things to check before calling:

Have you run out of oil?
Has the power supply to your boiler tripped?
Check your system pressure.
What's your room thermostat set at?

When you call us, please let us know the make and model of your appliance, in order for us to talk you through simple reset options. Unfortunately, not all breakdowns are as easily fixed, and do often need an engineer to visit, but we will always try to save you the expense of an unnecessary callout when we can."
