At limelight we want everyone to enjoy their garden. Being outside in nature has so many benefits. So over the coming months we will share some hints and tips to help you make your outside space look great!

It’s amazing how overgrown things look in the garden as the spring arrives, many shrubs and trees are in need of a prune. Roses should be cut back now, as well as Buddleija and many others. Trees should be pruned now before nesting begins, as it is illegal to disturb nesting birds.

It’s also a great time to start lawn treatments too, at Limelight we would suggest that you start your yearly lawn care schedule just as the grass is beginning to wake up and grow after being dormant through the winter months. We have included a list of lawn jobs that will ensure your grass looks great for the summer.

1. Rake away winter leaf fall
2. Overseed.
3. Aerate.
4. Dethatch.
5. W**d.
6. Fertilize.
7. Water.
8. Mow.

This is becoming more and more prevalent with the use of artificial lawns and large expanses of block paving. Thankfully there appears to be a reverse in the trend and people are realising again the benefits of a cool, fresh, lush lawn!
