This year was going to be a MASSIVE personal achievement for me. As well as Hiding in the city plants, our sister company was going to be dressing the main entrance. One of my favourite nurseries was going to be kind enough to work with me and ‘lend’ me his amazing collection. Alas I’m heartbroken we won’t be installing but as an alternative RHS Chelsea are giving a week long fix of everything they possibly can. And part of this is them asking Hiding to give a chat...it’s happening in the 19th (Tuesday) on their website. Be kind and don’t judge.

The Elephants Ear (alocasia) and I have had a love affair for a decade now. Simply the most gorgeous of the large leaved tropicals. Does amazingly well in pots in the garden and then you bring her inside over winter to liven up your inside. Create your tropical nook in the city with her. Really good value for money for the size of specimens.

Literally just add water! A close up of this weeks geranium (front) and chocolate Aeonium (back). The geranium are trailing beauties so will eventually spill out tumbling over your containers and they have the most delicate white frilly petals flecked with purple. Their leaves also have a dark marking which ties in with the chocolate colour scheme. The Aeonium are a succulent that lives outside in a pot all year. Super easy to look after.

Really busy day delivering all our plant sales, just came home and styled this quick set up that I’m about to drink wine in. Wanted to try and show how easy it is to create a bloody lovely urban space with this weeks pot plants.
