A builder started work without getting planning permission.

By the time the family realised, money had already been spent and the project was at real risk of being shut down entirely.

It allows certain building work to go ahead without full planning permission.

Before you get too far down the road with an extension idea, a few things are worth getting clear on.

Not because the idea is wrong. Just because asking them early saves a lot of time and money later.

Is it likely to get planning permission?
