Relovedmcr RelovedMCR: Furniture artist, BBC Money for Nothing regular, designer and creative workshop host

RelovedMCR transforms unloved, unwanted vintage furniture into covetable, stylish pieces designed to fit effortless into contemporary interior settings. Pieces are available to buy "off the shelf" or on a personal commission basis. Founded by Sarah Parmenter, an award-winning lifestyle and property PR consultant, RelovedMCR has evolved organically: what started as a hobby has fast become a cottage

industry, with regular commissions for her artfully salvaged, luxe, upcycled pieces. RelovedMCR is a simple expression of Sarah's unique style and passion for the aesthetic. Drawn to vintage pieces which to the untrained eye are ugly, dated and in-lovable, Sarah has the vision and skill to transform them into covetable, glamorous pieces which always make a statement. Each piece is stripped back, hand-painted and decoupaged using exquisite high-end papers, fabrics and unusual prints. Designed to be both beautiful and functional, each piece is finished with layers of durable, water-proof varnish to create a polished, yet practical surface.

MISALIGNED 🙃

Hello 👋🏽!

While I edit my jewellery offering, and continue working on some interiors projects, i’ve been asked to work on some exciting furniture commissions for BBC Money for Nothing 😎 rescued this lovely vintage chest of drawers, now reimagined in a textural, asymmetrical hand painted design.

Sometimes i’m asked where ideas come from, and usually it’s a mix. From sun drenched colours in Morocco, to a much loved & worn vintage silk scarf, this piece is a fusion of colours, graphic prints and vintage vibes which totally resonate with me.

I like the misaligned diagonals. A metaphor for a
life 🤪

Likewise, the grainy, textural surface detail and the shots of silver and neon pink remind me of the 80s in all its sepia tinged, messy school disco splendour.

I can’t help thinking this would look great in a shop, but honestly, i’d love to see it in living or bedroom too 😎

If you’d like to buy this piece, do contact via DM. As always, buyers are invited to appear on the show, but are absolutely not obliged to do so!!!!

All the details including price are on the final slide.

Morning! A Retrospective part 2 🙌🏽

As we hurtle into the NY, I’m continuing my retrospect of work, and this batch can loosely be described as distressed, gilded and full of animal print inspired sepia tones!

As i said in my last post, picking out a few favourite commissions from recent years has been a wonderful trip down memory lane 🙌🏽😍

Too many to feature all! but hopefully this small collection shows the breadth of work, along with key trademark designs that run throughout.

Aged metallics, distressed surface textures, animal inspired prints, sepia tones… all with a twist of glamour and edge… and all designed, hand painted and finished with passion and thought. Mostly, i used paints and enamels, along with gold leaf and my own metallic skins!

While i’ll consider taking on the occasional commission, I’m so close now to launching my own jewellery designs, I’m currently refocusing most of my energies into that process.

2026 is destined to be a BIG year of new challenges for me, and i can’t wait to share with you….

1. launching my own design jewellery collection 🙌🏽

You’ve seen snippets in the form of curated pieces i’ve hand selected from my travels, now sold in the Cotswolds… but that really is just the beginning of the story 🙌🏽

2. I’ve also nearly completed my first large interior design project, which i hope will lead to more opportunities.

AND i hope to move house in 2026!!! Now that’s a biggie!!!! 😳😳

Am i a little bit scared of the new avenues I’m choosing to pursue? Yes!!

But it’s time to put on my big girl pants and follow my heart again; keep pushing my creative boundaries and evolving my brand - and my life - organically.

I really do hope that you’ll all follow along with me on this next journey…. it’s bound to be bumpy! but never dull!! 🙌🏽🙏🏽😍

This is likely my last post of 2025, and i want to say THANK YOU to each and everyone who’s supported me throughout 🙏🏽

Here’s to 2026!!! Hope to see you all on the other side!!

A RETROSPECTIVE ❤️ MODERN CHINOISERIE

As i gradually move on to other creative projects (my jewellery collection!) I thought it might be nice to take a stroll down memory to remember the many commissions I have been lucky enough to fulfil during the last few years….

There are so many (over 100!) 🙏🏽 so i decided to categorise them into themes…

This first one being Modern Chinoiserie.

When i look back, i find it hard to imagine how i fulfilled all these time consuming commissions, but all I can say is, i was incredibly driven and inspired from the outset!

Many long days, into nights, juggling the kids… and in the early days, juggling with a freelance PR career too.

I’m not totally abandoning the furniture artistry, but i’m evolving the business, because it’s time!

For those who have kindly followed me from the outset, i’m so thankful. And for any newer followers, I hope you’ll stick with me for the next chapter! 🙏🏽

BTW - soundtrack! i used to play this vinyl single on repeat on my little record player! Does anyone else remember it?!!

Just because I’m introducing jewellery to my repertoire…. doesn’t mean i’m not taking on the occasional interiors commission…😍😉

This one was interesting because my customer initially asked for advice on how to decorate the newly constructed mdf cabinetry built to disguise his big flat screen TV.

Generally above a fireplace, you’d go for artwork or a mirror, right? But what do you do when neither is feasible? The recessed panel disguising the TV is on hinges, so whatever goes on top needs to be lightweight and thin to facilitate the mechanism 🤓🧐

My solution was to create “faux” abstract artwork using a fabulous textural surface covering from .official in its Chequerboard design, one i’ve used before and really love.

I simply pasted it on to the mdf & then hand painted in tones of chartreuse and metallics from to tie in with the luxe velvet sofas and surrounding decor.

I love the pixelated artwork effect on the lincrusta…. i hope you do too!

LORD OF THE RINGS 🙌🏽❤️❤️❤️

Introducing my house model and muse, Archie.

Would your son/father/nephew wear a bold pearl ring, I wonder? I would love to know…

My newly curated jewellery collection is bringing me such great joy and freedom to expand my creative horizons.

In Archie, there’s an honesty and raw beauty that transcends the designs; he tells the story of resilience, strength and the healing power of creative expression.

His story is my story. We come as package, in all its irregularities & imperfections.

The pieces i’ve carefully selected are one off, unique pieces of artisan craftsmanship. They transcend trends, gender and in our case, disability.

I stock exclusively in the Cotswolds, but if you can’t reach the store, please feel free to check out some of the newest pieces about to drop.

The link in my bio gives you the opportunity to peruse and reserve some of my faves….

I hope you love them as much as I do!! 🙏🏽

Going going gone!! A small selection of rings for you!! Would love any feedback 🤓

I do realise that this ring ramble is only interesting to a very small audience… 🧐 and I promise to get much more efficient & inspiring with future jewellery posts.

These one off, artisan pieces are selling fast which is very encouraging and exciting. There are no click & buy options at the moment, but if you want info on sizes etc, you can DM Sophia at the shop.

To clarify, these beauties aren’t by me. I curated a special collection while on my travels, and will continue to bring in unusual pieces to sell alongside my own designs (coming in 2026!) 🙏🏽

International shipping available on request!

The whole of Broadway is hosting a late night Christmas shopping evening today, and the village is looking so pretty. Trove will be open until 8pm tonight.

I hope this mix of interiors with jewellery isn’t too off putting or confusing… so hope you will bear with me while i find an engaging way to share content with you.

Much like a bus, you don’t see me on here for ages…. and then… 🚌 🤣🤣🤣

Thanks a million for all the love and supportive comments on my last post 😘🙏🏽 it really means a lot to me 🙌🏽🙏🏽

Me & all my “found” treasures will be on Thursday 20 and Friday 21 November.

I’ll be there chin wagging with customers about the origins of the collection, how I like to layer and style all the pieces and how I see jewellery as just another form of creative expression.

Texture, tone, colour, detail…. all the things I care about on a daily basis. None of it is trend led, just pieces I was drawn to while in Istanbul, and there are also some very unique silver mesh scarves from Dubai.

The plan was not to showcase online, but thanks to the many enquiries from far afield, Sophia will enable online sales through the website. Coming soon.

I have no plans to sell online myself, but as this is a new venture, i suppose that could change….🤪

Meanwhile, i’m excited to be refining my own designs for production early next year, which i really can’t wait to share !!!

If you are in and around The Cotswolds next Thursday/Friday, i would LOVE to see you 😍🙌🏽

Hello !! Anyone out there!!? It’s been a while!!

Ok friends, i’m ready for my next creative adventure, and i would love it it if some of you would be kind enough to join me on the journey…it’s bound to be rocky 🤣🙌🏽

First stop is in the Cotswolds, a gorgeous interiors & lifestyle destination in beautiful Broadway.

Next Thursday 20 & Friday 21, i’ll be in the shop to officially launch my first collection - a carefully curated selection of handmade pieces I fell in love with on a recent trip to Istanbul.

I’ve called the collection “Found” - because that’s exactly what it is. A beautiful array of semi precious solid silver and gold plated jewellery which has inspired me to design my own pieces.

My plan currently is to sell exclusively at Trove showcasing gorgeous artisan designs that would otherwise be undiscovered.

Next will be my own designs, but alongside, i want to continue sourcing special pieces I love and want to share here in the UK. Most pieces i showcase in store will be one offs. No reproductions. No place else you can buy them.

I will, however share each piece via Instagram Lives and stories. Starting next Thursday. We can post worldwide if you see something you like!!

More updates to follow…. there is a lot going behind the scenes, i can tell ya!!! 🤪🤪

I really do hope some of you will trust in the decision to divert my creative energies in a new direction…🙏🏽

Simplicity. So often the best choice in my opinion 🤓

I’ve been meaning to share this commission for a while, but life gets in the way, and before you know it, months have passed….🤪

I do love this warm palette, and have used it in my own home, as well as in my wardrobe!!

I created the pinstripes using a mix of Guild Lane Jubilee Murray Red, Black and Burnt Copper, blending all three in different degrees across the spectrum.

On a personal note, while I’m busy fulfilling commissions and other creative projects to earn a living, I’m determined next year to find a better balance. I need to spend more time with Archie, as he moves through his 20’s, and his needs change.

I also need to be more present for George, who will more than likely be going to uni next september. Oh my heart!! ❤️

This time next week, i’ll be packing for a weekend in Istanbul to connect with artisans who can (hopefully) make my plans to launch my own jewellery range a reality.

Let’s see where that takes me, eh!! Always the journey, not the destination, right?

Wearing the tee shirt… ⚠️ long caption.

For those who’ve kindly followed me for a number of years, you’ll know I live & breathe vintage style in all its guises.

From the furniture I reimagine, to my clothes, jewellery, never changing granny hairdo… 🤣 (aka “ the usual”) a fondness for smoking duty free Gitanes cigs. Prolific use of the F & C words…. we’re talking PREHISTORIC 🤣

As I evolve my business into interior design and (soon) vintage inspired jewellery, I realise I probably need to give a bit more of myself here on the grid. After all, people buy people, right?? Is that still the case? Authenticity blah blah blah…

I have little idea where I’m going, absolutely no business plan or social media strategy. 🧐

I just intend to keep acting on my instincts, winging it, hustling, haggling and generally jaywalking my way through life 🙃

Here are a few swipey pics of me and my boys wearing vintage, Vinted and random chazza shop finds.

I start with Archie because no one wears vintage better than he does. Also his cheekbones are art in itself 😍

I’ve thrown in gorgeous George wearing a chazza ACDC tee. I’m so proud of both my boys.

Also lobbed in my own King of Vintage, Big T, sporting preloved Daks & his requisite silk cravat 😍

I’m not a brand, i’m a person, a mum, a partner, a carer, a maker upper as i go alonger.

But i’m wearing the tee shirt!!! Hopefully that will carry me through the next ten years 🍀🙏🏽

❤️

Hello insta folk, hope everyone’s Ok out there 🆗 👌🏾

Gatsby Grunge vibes for this gorgeous, rare mid century tambour cocktail cabinet now available exclusively through in Broadway, Cotswolds.

Mixing both warm and cool distressed metallic tones against a base of charcoal grey / graphite, this elegant little cabinet combines glamorous art deco vibes with an industrial, raw edge…. i hope ! 🙏🏽

The palette selected edges it into androgynous territory too i think, with its scuffed pewters and greys?? 🧐

Do hope you love it 🫶🏽 Enquiries direct to Sophia at Trove please.

Over & out 🫶🏽👋🏽👋🏽🤘
