Safe & Secure Limited has recently undergone a few changes in its personnel structure. After much deliberation and discussion over the last few years, Tony Howden (THE MAN, THE LEGEND) allowed us to take the helm as managers earlier this year, and we did not disappoint him, so we are pleased to announce that as of September 2025, we are the proud new owners and management team of Safe & Secure Ltd.
Safe & Secure Ltd founded & established by Tony Howden in 1996, was possibly the first uPVC window and door company in the area to specialize primarily in repairing and upgrading existing uPVC windows & doors, rather than full replacement.
Tony made the decision to sell the company after almost 30 years as Director and Manager, so he could spend more time with his friends, family and new grandson, (and perhaps a little more time on the golf course too). Tony is now enjoying a well-deserved "almost-retirement" which we feel he has more than worked for and definitely earned the right to.
We were both delighted when Tony agreed to continue working part-time as a trusted "technical advisor" and we hope our customers are just as happy to hear Tony is still carrying out some initial site visits for quotations, in the public-facing role he has always loved and excelled at.
Will Jones has been with Safe & Secure Ltd since July 2015 as a window fitter, installations manager and surveyor.
Vicky Emery has worked as company bookkeeper, accounts manager & administrator for Safe & Secure Ltd since February 2001.
Both of us are continuing in the same roles, alongside the added new responsibilities as directors and a management team.
As the founder and driving force behind our success and great reputation, Tony has been responsible for maintaining an impeccable standard of service for the last 29 years. We hope to maintain the same high standard for many more years to come.
We cannot thank Tony enough, for presenting us with such an amazing business opportunity.
General working hours for our engineers:
Monday to Friday 7.30am to 4.30pm and exclude all public and bank holidays.
PLEASE BE AWARE: call-outs and site visits outside of these hours are subject to additional charges.
Our general office and trade counter hours:
Monday to Thursday from 8am to 4pm, and Friday from 8am to 3pm.
PLEASE NOTE: office phone lines may occasionally be switched off, or diverted, during our busiest periods, to enable our staff to keep on top of quotes and orders. If you cannot get through the first time, please leave a voicemail or send an email, and a team member will respond as soon as possible.
