We can finally reveal another reason why King Charles was in Grimsby today.
King Charles popped in and has commissioned Wold County Joinery to make and fit new bespoke handmade timber box sash windows for Buckingham Palace and Highgrove House, his country residence.
To say we are honoured is an understatement.
Wold County Joinery now has the royal seal of approval 🤫🤥🤫

Fabulous couple of days dodging the rain again.
Still we are moving forward with this weeks project.
Back to fit the windows and roof on the base we built a while back.

Everything fits perfectly as it should 🤞

Just templated the wedged units ready to send off to our trusted glass suppliers
Kwiktuf Hull.

The Windows are finished in Farrow & Ball Cooking Apple 🍏 paintwork to give the traditional cottage country look.
Next job :
VELUX skylight in tomorrow and a start on the slate roof.

Busy Saturday morning, we are working 6 days a week to keep up with the demand. Love it when we are all working together to make things happen. The smell of timber in the workshop is amazing.
Here we are shaping our putty shaped timber glazing beads. Sealed in they keep the traditional look but are much more durable than putty.
