From flimsy to fit for purpose! 🔨
This garden divider originally looked the part from a distance, but a closer look told a very different story. The fence had been built using roofing lats which were already starting to twist deteriorate, and badly splinter, the gate… well, let’s just say it was one of the worst examples of gate building we’ve come across! 😅
Poorly constructed, no bracing, out of square, and generally hanging on by hope more than craftsmanship.
We stripped out the old lats and replaced them with stronger, cleaner eased edge planed timber throughout, then built a brand new gate that actually does what a gate is supposed to do, opens, closes, stays straight, and matches the rest of the fence properly.
The result is a much stronger, longer lasting finish that looks far cleaner and will stand the test of time.
Some jobs require a bit of travelling, but they’re always worth it… this one happened to be all the way next door to my house! 🚚😂 Not often you can leave for work and arrive 10 seconds later.
