This year I have been given the opportunity to be a main figure in helping get launched in the UK. Pairing up with .uk to give us all the ability to dispose of our paint rinse water. Everytime a painter and decorator cleans out their brushes, rollers, sprayer or even filling tools etc. That water either gets poured into a drain or onto the ground, despite this being completely the wrong thing to do there isn't any infrastructure in place to deal with this. All the paint water that's put down a drain ends up in streams, rivers, oceans and also back into our own bodies. The problem with disposing of it in this way is key parts are never filtered out. Microplastics, painters and decorators are believed to be one of the top contributors to microplastics in our water systems. This has detrimental effects on our bodies, wildlife and the planet as a whole. Using the water treatment system filters all the contaminants out of paint rinse water and puts fresh, safe water back into the environment with no chemicals used in the process. Other benefits to this system is the sediment build up can be used to make self priming fillers and decorative plasters so very little is wasted. This is a system that is desperately needed. It does however involve a small amount of effort from ourselves which I believe is a small price to pay for our health and the planet as a whole. We need to be more responsible and now a system is available to help achieve this, their should be no excuse. Stay tuned 🌎.
