Where do you get a kick out of what you do?

Here's mine-
This week I assisted an elderly couple where their patio door locking mechanism had completely failed. The client admitted to me that I was not the first locksmith to have looked at the door and the previous locksmith who was very highly recommended had said that it couldn't be fixed and they needed a new door.
After a quick inspection and some measurements it was clear that we could fit a new mechanism and handles, the door did not have to be replaced!
Now this lovely client has a fully working patio door which is more secure than it was before and all for less than a quarter of the price of a new door.
This is what brings me joy in my line of work! Being able to solve problems and help customers when they fear the worst.
