The RHS - Royal Horticultural Society Chelsea Flower Show always gives a strong insight into how outdoor spaces are evolving, and this year’s gardens highlighted some clear trends that are already influencing fencing and boundary design heading into 2026.

One of the biggest themes was creating outdoor spaces that feel more private, natural and functional, with boundaries becoming part of the overall garden design rather than simply a dividing line.

Some of the key fencing and boundary trends we’re expecting to see more of include:

🪵 Natural timber finishes and softer tones
🌿 More planting integrated alongside fencing and screening
🏡 Outdoor spaces designed for entertaining and relaxing
🔒 Increased focus on privacy and security without compromising appearance
