Townsend Nursery has been running in Harpenden for over 40 years. Over time it has evolved from being a mainly horticultural business to now offering a whole range of products and services. The horticultural element is still very much in evidence, demonstrated by seasonal offerings of bedding plants and hanging baskets with various horticultural sundries including stocks of compost. Townsend have
been distributors of the ‘Albany Sheds’ range of high quality garden buildings for many years and can also offer shed bases and installation as part of the service. Townsend Nursery are distributors of the comprehensive range of ‘Cobra’ garden machinery. ‘Cobra’ offers quality with economy, petrol lawnmowers start at £160 and there are also hedge trimmers, chain saws, cultivators etc. More recently, Townsend Nursery have also been appointed distributors of the ‘Mitox’ range of garden machinery which further expands the choice of equipment on offer. Lawnmower servicing is carried out on site, alongside a showroom displaying the wide range of fireplaces and stoves which M W Forsyth supply and install. Townsend Nursery supply logs, coal, winter salt and water softener salt. We also supply Christmas Trees at our favourite time of year and are able to deliver to your door. Harpenden Glass and Glazing are also based here, offering a “while you wait” cutting service, as well as supplying windows and doors.
