Tom Crooks is an RIBA Chartered Architect and AABC Accredited Specialist Conservation Architect, registered with the foremost conservation accreditation body in the UK (The AABC) and has over ten years working in this field. Having trained at the University of Sheffield School of Architecture, he developed a keen understanding of both the physical and the social aspects of Architecture and this is
reflected in our design. We undertake a wide range of commissions, including new-build, commercial, residential (new-build and working with existing homes), industrial, ecclesiastical and heritage work. We are experienced in working within the historically and environmentally sensitive area of the Peak District National Park, as well as undertaking projects throughout Derbyshire and further afield in Sheffield, Leeds, across the North of England and in Scotland. Over the years, through our projects we have forged relationships with local engineers and environmental consultants, as well as local planners and craftspeople; promoting the use of local skills wherever possible. Tom Crooks has over ten years experience working in the conservation sector, on projects involving Grade I, Grade II* and Grade II "listed" buildings as well as Scheduled Ancient Monuments; working under some of the most respected and experienced names in this field. Previous Clients include churches across the county, the Diocese of Derby and and private clients. We have undertaken the appropriate APS training to enable us to act as Principal Designer under the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015.
