What people wanted was outdoor kitchens that suited the British outdoors. The Grillo Forge was born, its clean, natural lines complement any property. Grillo Vantage followed soon after and is a true statement that takes its cue from the original Grillo Forge kitchen. The darker colours of the Vantage gives it a sleeker more contemporary feel, but both kitchens blend into almost every environment

from a central London roof terrace to a rural Grade II-listed barn conversion. Grillo Outdoor Kitchens are based in Cambridge, England, we design and manufacture our kitchens in the UK.

📍Caldy, Wirral

Overlooking the Dee Estuary towards North Wales, Caldy is known for its wooded setting and red sandstone houses. This home has been transformed with the garden receiving just as much attention as the house itself.

The Grillo kitchen sits beneath the pergola on a decked area alongside a hot tub. It's the epitome of luxury. Dark cabinetry contrasts the unsheltered terrace with pale stone, pale furnishings and splashes of green in the arranged beds.

Designed by Heartwood Garden Design, this Harpenden garden pairs generous open space with richly planted boarders and neat modern lines.

Positioned to one side, the outdoor kitchen enjoys uninterrupted views across the neat space. Throughout the garden, an abundance of planting softens modern design. Ornamental grasses and flowering perennials neatly line the borders of the paving, leading right up to the covered outdoor kitchen area.

How do you add something as contemporary as an outdoor kitchen to a characterful stone home without it feeling out of place?

Here, the dark Grillo cabinetry picks up on the black detailing of the renovated house, while the warm Iroko seam creates a softer link back to the original stone.

Then there’s the view. Bar seating faces straight out across the rolling hills beyond - not a bad place to pull up a stool.

Blazed Salmon Blinis | Philli Armitage-Mattin

Loimulohi: you've never had salmon like it. Watch Philli's take on the traditional Finnish way of cooking salmon - vertically pinned to a board beside a blazing log fire. Hence the Finnish name, which translates as 'blazed salmon'. But can you replicate this speciality in your back garden?

Have you come across roof-trained plane trees before? Their broad, architectural canopies aren’t something you see in every garden, and here they create a striking layer above the clipped planting, giving this Cheshire garden a real point of difference.
