PAINTER AND DECORATOR VACANCY - ongoing work for the right candidate

WORK LOCATION may vary- however this can be: Haverhill, West Suffolk/Bury St Edmunds, and Cambridgeshire/ surrounding areas/villages. (Usually maximum of up to 30-45 minutes from Haverhill)
5 YEARS MINIMUM EXPERIENCE, AS A PROFESSIONAL PAINTER AND DECORATOR
WITH OWN VAN (preferred) and own tools.
(If no transport, it may be possible to meet in Haverhill Town Centre)
The job role of a painter and decorator varies, and can involve the following duties:
Laying dust sheets to protect areas from paint
Preparing surfaces for decorating by filling holes and sealing cracks
Removing old paint or wallpaper by sanding or scraping, or by using heat guns, liquid paint removers or steam st*****rs
Applying paint, stains, varnishes and other finishes
Using brushes, rollers or other as needed.
Tidying up and cleaning your tools
The role involves Working mainly in clients’ businesses or homes, therefore, excellent customer skills and a respectful/polite manner is essential.

Be thorough and pay attention to detail
Flexible and open to change
Able to accept criticism and work well under pressure
Customer service skills
Knowledge of health and safety
