Big old Leylandii hedge reduction in , East Sussex .

This hedge was a beast ! I never thought I would get to the final cut but after a few days the job was finished and it looked great and the customer was really pleased .

Site left clean and tidy , as always .

The hedge was monitored for nesting birds before work started .

Nice big drop zone to section down the remaining leylandii stem on a dreary day in .

You can see from the pictures where the weakness between the stems was and the build up of old foliage etc which would eventually lead to further problems if not pulled apart by the storm .

Twin or multi stem trees must be monitored.

Site left spotless clean as always .

Snapped out leylandii at split at weak fork in last weeks . Fortunately it snagged on the fence post and didn’t roll...

Snapped out leylandii at split at weak fork in last weeks .

Fortunately it snagged on the fence post and didn’t roll off and into the conservatory.

Tied it off last week to keep it safe and back today to remove it and the rest of the tree .
